What data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Christoph Katzer — Chris Katzer & Co.See also our imprint.
Under the DSGVO (GDPR) you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, write to the address above.
Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits, in so-called server log files: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, time of the request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO — our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website.
Hosting provider, acting as our processor under Art. 28 DSGVO: IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Deutschland. A data-processing agreement is in place and the servers are located within the EU.
If you send us an enquiry through the form on this site, the details you provide — your name, email address, business name, the plan you selected and your message — are stored so that we can process the enquiry and answer follow-up questions.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO — our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us.
We keep this data until you ask us to erase it, you withdraw consent, or the purpose for storing it no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods — commercial and tax law — remain unaffected.
Your enquiry reaches us by email so that we can reply. We do not use it for advertising and do not pass it to third parties for their own purposes.
To ask for and honour your cookie choices, this website uses ConsentKit, a consent tool we run ourselves. It records your decision (for example in your browser's local storage) so that you are not asked again on every visit. Storing this preference is technically necessary to respect your choice; legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings.
No analytics or marketing technologies are activated unless and until you have actively consented (see section 6).
Subject to your explicit consent, we use PulseKit — a privacy-focused analytics tool that we operate ourselves on our own infrastructure (chriskatzer.com), not a third-party advertising network. It helps us see how the site is used (for example pages viewed, referring page, approximate region, device and browser type) so we can improve it. Your IP address is processed on our server to derive an approximate location and is not used to identify you personally.
PulseKit loads only after you consent via the cookie banner. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO (consent), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or comparable third-party advertising trackers.
All typefaces on this site are self-hosted on our own server. No fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, Fontshare or any other third-party CDN, so no data — including your IP address — is transmitted to an external font provider when you view this site.
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an
encrypted connection by the https:// prefix in your browser's address bar.
We update this privacy policy when our processing changes or when the law requires it. The current version is always available at this address.
